Who is Verina?

Verina is a gentle botanist who came from the New Federation and settled in Jinzhou, and who can hear the voice of plants; she once served on one of the Pioneer Association's expedition teams. She is a Spectro Resonator who wields a Rectifier, and she keeps healing the team by swapping in and out with short rotations. Her Liberation leaves a Photosynthesis Mark on the enemy; whenever your teammates hit that target, Verina performs a Coordinated Attack that both deals damage and heals the on-field character. Thanks to the 15% DMG Amplification in her Outro and the 20% ATK from her passive, she fits almost every team and is one of the most flexible supports in the game.

How to get Verina

Verina is a standard 5★ Resonator and has been in the game since 1.0. She can be pulled with Lustrous Tide from the permanent standard character banner, and she is one of the standard 5★ characters who can appear when you lose the 50/50 on limited character banners. If you select her as your target in the one-time Beginner's Choice Convene available on new accounts, the first 5★ from that banner (within 80 pulls at most) is guaranteed to be Verina.

Verina build

Updated for version 3.6

Echo set

Rejuvenating Glow5-piece

2-piece: Healing Bonus + 10%.

5-piece: Increases the ATK of all party members by 15% for 30s upon healing allies.

Healing a teammate increases the whole team's ATK by 15% for 30 s. On Verina, who heals constantly, this buff almost never drops, and the Healing Bonus from the 2-piece boosts her healing.

Moonlit CloudsAlternative · 5-piece

2-piece: Energy Regen + {0}.

5-piece: Upon using Outro Skill, increases the ATK of the next Resonator by 22.5% for 15s.

The Energy Regen from the 2-piece eases her Liberation loop, and it gives the next character 22.5% ATK after the Outro; however, this buff goes only to the incoming character, not the whole team.

Its Echo Skill gives Verina 10% Energy Regen and the whole team 10% ATK for 20 s; if you want a shield and damage reduction, Bell-Borne Geochelone is a good alternative.

Use the 4-3-3-1-1 layout. Pick both 3-cost Echoes with the Energy Regen main stat and aim for around 180-220% in total, so her Liberation is ready every rotation. Past this threshold, stack ATK%, which feeds her healing and buffs.

Best weapons for Verina

  1. 1 Stellar Symphony
    Stellar Symphony 5★

Shorekeeper's signature weapon. Its 77.04% Energy Regen main stat at Lv 90 and the Concerto Energy it grants after a Liberation speed up Verina's loop a lot; its ATK buff, which depends on a healing Resonance Skill, does not work on Verina.

  2. 2 Variation
    Variation 4★

The best 4★ option. Its 51.84% Energy Regen main stat and the Concerto Energy from Resonance Skills let Verina swap in and out quickly; ideal for those without a 5★ weapon.

  3. 3 Cosmic Ripples
    Cosmic Ripples 5★

The standard banner's 5★ Rectifier. Its 54% ATK main stat boosts her healing, and the Energy Regen in its passive helps her Liberation loop.

  4. 4 Call of the Abyss

Verina skills

Normal Attack

Cultivation

Consists of a combo of up to five hits that deals Spectro DMG with vines, a forward-lunging Heavy Attack, a three-hit mid-air attack and a Dodge Counter. When the 5th Basic Attack hits, she gains 1 stack of Photosynthesis Energy, her Forte resource.

Resonance Skill

Botany Experiment

Grows vegetation in the area in front of her to deal Spectro DMG in an area. Each use grants 1 Photosynthesis Energy, so it is the fastest way to feed Starflower Blooms.

Forte Circuit

Starflower Blooms

A Heavy Attack performed while holding Photosynthesis Energy spends 1 stack and turns into Starflower Blooms. It heals the whole team, grants Concerto Energy and deals Spectro DMG; a Basic Attack then performs a second Starflower Blooms in mid-air. Up to 4 stacks build up, and they come from the 5th Basic Attack, the Resonance Skill and the Intro Skill.

Resonance Liberation

Arboreal Flourish

Rapidly grows the surrounding plants to deal Spectro DMG, heals the whole team and leaves a Photosynthesis Mark on the target. No matter who on the team attacks the marked target, Verina performs a Coordinated Attack once per second, dealing damage and healing the on-field character.

Intro Skill

Verdant Growth

Deals Spectro DMG to the target as she enters the field and grants 1 Photosynthesis Energy; it is the move that starts Verina's short rotation.

Outro Skill

Blossom

Heals the incoming character every second for 6 s by 19% of Verina's ATK. Its real value, though, is the 15% DMG Amplification it gives everyone on the team for 30 s; that is why she fits almost every team.

Inherent Skill

Grace of Life

When one of her teammates takes a fatal hit, Verina protects them and grants a shield equal to 120% of her ATK that lasts 10 s. It triggers once every 10 minutes and becomes an unexpected lifeline in hard fights.

Inherent Skill

Gift of Nature

When she uses Starflower Blooms, Arboreal Flourish or her Outro Skill, the whole team's ATK increases by 20% for 20 s. Combined with the damage increase in her Outro, it makes Verina both a healer and a strong support.

Tune Break

Tune Break: Rectifier

When the target's Off-Tune level is full, Verina can perform the Rectifier-specific Tune Break attack; it is a shared mechanic that opens an extra damage window on the staggered enemy.

Verina sequences (Resonance Chain)

Verina does her job fully at S0, and since she is a standard character, extra copies also come over time through lost 50/50s. S2 noticeably speeds up her rotation, while S4 gives the whole team 15% Spectro DMG Bonus and is her most valuable Sequence in Spectro teams.

  1. S1

    Moment of Emergence

The Outro Skill Blossom leaves a lasting effect on the next character that heals them every 5 s for 30 s by 20% of Verina's ATK.

  2. S2

    Sprouting Reflections

Botany Experiment grants an extra 1 Photosynthesis Energy and 10 Concerto Energy; the rotation gets shorter and the Outro is ready faster.

  3. S3

    The Choice to Flourish

Photosynthesis Mark's healing increases by 12%.

  4. S4

    Blossoming Embrace

Starflower Blooms, Arboreal Flourish and her Outro Skill give the whole team 15% Spectro DMG Bonus for 24 s; very valuable in Spectro teams.

  5. S5

    Miraculous Blooms

Verina's healing increases by 20% when she heals a teammate below 50% HP.

  6. S6

    Joyous Harvest

Starflower Blooms deals 20% more damage, and each use triggers an extra Coordinated Attack with the same damage and healing as Photosynthesis Mark.

Verina team comps

Coordinated Attack team

Verina's Photosynthesis Mark attacks and Zhezhi's Inklit Spirits are Coordinated Attacks of different elements, so they fill Jinhsi's Incandescence quickly; the 15% amplification in her Outro also lines up with Jinhsi's damage window.

Augusta Heavy Attack team

Iuno's Outro amplifies Augusta's Heavy Attack damage by 50%; Verina keeps the team alive while handing everyone 20% ATK and 15% DMG Amplification.

Accessible Heavy Attack lineup

Mortefi's Outro amplifies Jiyan's Heavy Attack damage by 38%, while Verina heals and increases the team's damage; a classic lineup that has worked since 1.0.

Verina tips

  • Do not keep Verina on the field for long. Spend the Photosynthesis Energy you collect with her Intro Skill and Resonance Skill on Heavy Attacks and the mid-air Starflower Blooms, use her Liberation and leave with her Outro.
  • Use Arboreal Flourish right before the Main DPS enters the field. Thanks to Photosynthesis Mark, every time the Main DPS lands a hit, Verina both deals damage and heals with a Coordinated Attack.
  • Energy Regen is Verina's most important stat; if her Liberation is not ready every rotation, you lose both the group heal and the Photosynthesis Mark attacks.
  • Use the Echo Skill of Fallacy of No Return while Verina is on the field; it gives you 10% Energy Regen and the whole team 10% ATK for 20 s.
  • The 15% DMG Amplification in her Outro lasts 30 s, so use Verina at the start of the rotation and spread the buff over the whole damage window.
  • The Grace of Life passive saves a teammate from a fatal hit once every 10 minutes; in hard boss fights, it works like an extra life.

Common questions

How do I get Verina?

As a standard 5★, Verina can be pulled with Lustrous Tide from the permanent standard banner, and she can also appear when you lose the 50/50 on limited banners. If you select her as your target in the one-time Beginner's Choice Convene on new accounts, the first 5★ from it is guaranteed to be Verina.

What is the best Echo set for Verina?

5-piece Rejuvenating Glow is the best; as she heals teammates, it gives the whole team 15% ATK. Use Fallacy of No Return as the main Echo, and pick the Energy Regen main stat on the 3-cost Echoes.

What is Verina's best weapon?

She has no signature weapon. The best options are Stellar Symphony, with its Energy Regen main stat and Concerto Energy effect, and the 4★ Variation; Cosmic Ripples from the standard banner is also a solid alternative.

Is Verina still good?

Absolutely. She provides a group heal, 15% DMG Amplification and a 20% ATK buff at the same time, so she is still one of the best supports in 3.6. Since she comes from the standard banner, she is also easy to get.

Which team should I build for Verina?

Verina fits almost every team and works very well with Jinhsi + Zhezhi, Augusta + Iuno or Jiyan + Mortefi. Using her in the same team as Shorekeeper is usually inefficient, since both fill the healer slot; when you have one, it is better to bring a Sub DPS instead of the other.

What materials does Verina use?

For Ascension, she needs Elegy Tacet Core, which drops from Mourning Aix, Belle Poppy, which grows around the Port City of Guixu, and Howler Cores. For skills, she uses the Helix series, Howler Cores and the weekly material Monument Bell, which drops from Bell-Borne Geochelone; the full list with quantities is in the materials section.
