Turns on debug mode
dm
God mode, flying and spawning entities with F6 come with this mode. Typing the same command again turns it off; the long form is debugmenu.
In 7 Days to Die, cheats are typed into the command console on PC. You open the console with F1, then turn on debug mode with dm and the creative menu with cm. Commands for items, XP, teleporting, time, weather and spawning zombies all work from the same place. The list was checked against version V3.3 (October 2026). PS5 and Xbox Series versions have no command console, so this page covers the PC method only.
The 7 Days to Die command console opens with F1 on PC. In single player every command works; on a dedicated server you need admin permission first. Type the command and press Enter, then press F1 again to close the console.
On some keyboard layouts the console is bound to another key as well. The official wiki lists " for the US layout and @ for some European layouts.

While debug mode is on, the H key turns flying on and off. If the key does nothing, check the fly key in the Controls settings.
help settime
Typing help on its own lists every command in your version. Add a command name after it to see that command's full syntax.
version
Prints the version you are playing and any loaded mods. If a command does not work, check your version first.
giveself <item name> 6 1 true
Replace the item name with the game's internal name. The numbers are quality (1 to 6) and amount, and the true at the end puts the item in your backpack.

Puts Dukes casino tokens, the game's money, in your backpack. For another amount, type the number you want instead of 1000.
giveselfxp 10000
You get as much XP as the number at the end. You earn skill points as you level up; there is no command that gives skill points directly.
gamestage
Prints your gamestage, which sets the size of zombie hordes. It is worth checking after you level up with a command.
sv
Switches between the first-person and third-person camera. The long form is switchview.
tp 500 -1 -1200
The numbers are east-west, height and north-south in that order. Typing -1 for the height puts you on the ground; west and south are negative.
tp <player name>
Takes you to the player whose name you type. The player's entity ID works instead of the name too, and lpi lists the IDs.
tp offset 0 20 0
The numbers are added to your position; this example moves you 20 units up. You can use it to get out when you are stuck.
settime 8 6 0
The numbers are day, hour and minute: This example takes you to 6 in the morning on day 8. It is the safest form if you want to keep the day count.
settime day

killall alive
Animals die along with the zombies. According to the game's help text, vehicles and turrets are not affected.

Starts an air drop, so you do not have to wait for the next one to get a supply package.
spawnsupplycrate
Brings a supply crate to where you stand.
shownexthordetime
Prints when the next wandering horde that roams the map will arrive. It does not show the blood moon horde.
While debug mode is on, the F6 key opens a list of zombies and animals you can spawn. Pick from the list and spawn them without typing a code.
admin add <player name> 0
The number at the end is the permission level, and 0 is full access. To take it back, type admin remove and the player's name.
kick <player name>
The player is removed from the server. You can add a reason in quotes at the end.
ban add <player name> 2 days

givexp <player name> 5000
The player you name gets as much XP as the number at the end.
Some commands need the game's internal code names. Pick from the lists below and the command is written out for you with the right spelling.
Pick the item, quality and amount, and the giveself command is ready.
giveself {item} {quality} {amount} true
Quality only matters for weapons, tools and armor. To find the internal name of an item that is not on the list, type listitems and part of its name in the console.
Enter the day, hour and minute, and the settime command is ready.
settime {day} {hour} {minute}
On default settings, a blood moon starts every 7 days at 22:00. Moving the clock forward also shifts timers tied to the game clock, so back up your save first.
Enter the map coordinates; use negative numbers for west and south.
tp {x} -1 {z}
The -1 in the middle puts you on the ground. If the map shows 500 E, 1200 S, type 500 in the east-west box and -1200 in the north-south box.
