Execution
Consists of a three-hit Havoc combo, a Stamina-consuming rapid Heavy Attack, a plunging attack and a Dodge Counter. After a successful Dodge Counter, press Resonance Skill to go into a powerful Crimson Erosion (Ruby Shades).
Wuthering Waves · 4★ Resonator
"Scarlet Shade" A wanderer seeking justice with her crimson blade
Danjin lost her family to bandits years ago and is now a wandering warrior (Ranger) who hunts thieves and outlaws with a blade of condensed blood, traveling to distant lands in the name of justice. She is a 4★ Resonator who wields a Sword with the Havoc element and draws her power from her own life: Every Resonance Skill hit consumes 3% of her Max HP to build Ruby Blossom, and detonating it with the Heavy Attack Chaoscleave both deals big damage and heals her. Her Outro Skill amplifies the next character's Havoc damage by 23%, so she can be played as a sub DPS next to Havoc DPS units such as Phrolova and Camellya, or as a main DPS together with Mortefi.
Danjin is a 4★ Resonator and can drop from every standard and limited Convene banner; when she is one of the rate-up 4★ characters on a limited banner, her odds rise noticeably. There is no permanent way to get her for free, so you need to pull her repeatedly to unlock her Sequences, especially S6, which grants the team ATK.
2-piece: Havoc DMG + 10%.
5-piece: Havoc DMG + 7.5% after releasing Basic Attack or Heavy Attack. This effect stacks up to 4 times, each stack lasts 15s.
7.5% Havoc DMG that stacks 4 times after Basic and Heavy Attacks stays active in combos built around Chaoscleave and Scatterbloom; the best set when she is the main DPS or a sub DPS with long field time.
2-piece: Havoc DMG + {0}
5-piece: When Outro Skill is triggered, deal additional {0} Havoc DMG to surrounding enemies, considered Outro Skill DMG, and grant the incoming Resonator {1} Havoc DMG Bonus for {2}s.
If you play Danjin as a supporter next to a Havoc DPS such as Camellya or Phrolova, Midnight Veil offers more team value: It deals extra Havoc damage on Outro and gives the next character 15% Havoc DMG.
2-piece: ATK +10%
If you do not have well-rolled 5-piece Havoc Eclipse Echoes yet, 2-piece Havoc Eclipse + 2-piece Lingering Tunes gives you Havoc DMG and ATK together.
In the main slot it grants 12% Havoc DMG and 12% Basic Attack DMG Bonus; a high-damage Echo with 3 charges that you can use often.
Energy Regen is a low priority for Danjin; balance Crit. Rate and Crit. DMG, then stack Heavy Attack and Resonance Skill bonuses. The classic 4-3-3-1-1 Echo layout is enough.
Changli's signature weapon. Grants 48.6% Crit. DMG and 12% ATK; its Searing Feather stacks fill quickly as you use Resonance Skills and raise Resonance Skill damage by up to 56%, and Danjin keeps this passive active almost nonstop.
Camellya's signature weapon. Its 24.3% Crit. Rate main stat and 12% ATK are strong; part of its Basic Attack-focused passive goes to waste, but its raw stats make it a very good alternative.
The standard banner's 5★ Sword; 24.3% Crit. Rate, 12.8% Energy Regen and an ATK bonus that stacks after Resonance Skills suit Danjin, who uses her Resonance Skill often.
The best 4★ option: A 30.4% ATK main stat and 15% ATK for 15 s after an Intro fit perfectly with Danjin's combo, which opens with her Intro.
4★; Hiss stacks gained while dealing damage grant up to 20% ATK, plus 6% Crit. Rate at 10 stacks. Efficient when she stays on the field for a long time.
An easy-to-get 4★ that can be crafted at the weapon workshop. Its 36.5% ATK main stat and a passive that boosts Heavy Attack damage and heals while HP is below 40% also fit Danjin thematically, since she spends her own HP.
Totals are calculated from game data: Every ascension stage from 1→90, skills 1→10 and every skill tree node.
Consists of a three-hit Havoc combo, a Stamina-consuming rapid Heavy Attack, a plunging attack and a Dodge Counter. After a successful Dodge Counter, press Resonance Skill to go into a powerful Crimson Erosion (Ruby Shades).
Each hit consumes 3% of Danjin's Max HP (no cost while her HP is below 1%). Depending on the situation, she performs Carmine Gleam, a two-hit Crimson Erosion after the 2nd Basic Attack, a Dodge Counter or the Intro, or a three-hit Sanguine Pulse after the 3rd Basic Attack. The 2nd hit of Crimson Erosion applies Incinerating Will to the target, which increases Danjin's damage by 20%.
Using Resonance Skills builds up to 120 Ruby Blossom. At 60 stacks, hold Basic Attack to perform Chaoscleave, which counts as a Heavy Attack and heals Danjin; Basic Attack then follows up with Scatterbloom. Using them at 120 stacks increases both multipliers.
Danjin furiously swings her twin blades in a flurry of rapid strikes followed by a Scarlet Burst, dealing Havoc damage. It opens a short but intense damage window.
Danjin enters with a determined strike that deals Havoc damage. Press Resonance Skill right after the Intro to go directly into Crimson Erosion.
The incoming character's Havoc damage is amplified by 23% for 14 s or until they leave the field (Amplify). This is Danjin's biggest contribution when playing with Havoc main DPS units.
Crimson Erosion triggered by Dodge Counter: Ruby Shades deals 20% more damage, and both the HP cost and the Ruby Blossom gain of this attack are doubled. It lets players with good dodge timing fill their Forte quickly.
After using Sanguine Pulse, Heavy Attack damage increases by 30% for 5 s. That is why you want to use Chaoscleave right after Sanguine Pulse.
When the target's Off-Tune level is full, Danjin can perform the Sword-specific Tune Break attack; it is a mechanic shared by all Resonators that opens an extra damage window on the staggered enemy.
Her damage Sequences improve steadily from S1 onward; S4 and S5 are big jumps, and S6 grants the team 20% ATK, taking Danjin to her peak as both a DPS and a support.
Attacking a target with Incinerating Will grants 5% ATK for 6 s (stacks 6 times); she loses one stack whenever she takes damage.
Damage dealt to targets with Incinerating Will increases by 20%.
Resonance Liberation DMG Bonus increases by 30%.
Crit. Rate increases by 15% while she has more than 60 Ruby Blossom; even if Chaoscleave consumes the stacks, the effect lasts until Scatterbloom ends.
Havoc DMG Bonus increases by 15%, and by another 15% while her HP is below 60%.
Chaoscleave increases the whole team's ATK by 20% for 20 s, which makes Danjin a much stronger support.
Phrolova
Danjin
Shorekeeper
Phrolova deals most of her damage off-field, so Danjin can stay on the field longer and run her own combos; Shorekeeper provides healing and buffs.
Camellya
Danjin
Shorekeeper
Danjin's 23% Havoc Amplification Outro boosts Camellya's damage; in this role she is a very close alternative to Sanhua.

Danjin is a 4★, so she can drop from every standard and limited Convene banner; her odds rise on banners where she is one of the rate-up 4★ characters. There is no permanent way to get her for free.
When playing for damage, 5-piece Havoc Eclipse is the best; use Nightmare: Crownless as your main Echo. In teams where she supports another Havoc DPS, 5-piece Midnight Veil offers more team value.
Changli's signature weapon Blazing Brilliance is by far the best; Danjin keeps its passive active almost nonstop. Red Spring and Emerald of Genesis are alternatives, and on the 4★ side you can use Commando of Conviction and Somnoire Anchor.
She has some of the highest personal damage among 4★ characters and works in Havoc teams as both a sub DPS and an Outro supporter. Her playstyle is risky because she spends her own HP to power up; at S6 she grants the team 20% ATK, which raises her value even further.
The strongest options are Phrolova + Danjin + Shorekeeper and Camellya + Danjin + Shorekeeper. If you want to play Danjin as the main DPS, you can build an accessible Heavy Attack team with Mortefi and Verina.
For Ascension she needs Strife Tacet Core from Crownless, the local specialty Belle Poppy and the Ring series. Her skills use the Metallic Drip series, the Ring series and the weekly material Dreamless Feather from Dreamless.
