"Voices of Azure Plume" From Midnight Ranger to watcher of Xuanfang Hold
Yangyang: Xuanling is the awakened form of Yangyang, whom we have known since the very first moments of the game. She is the second daughter of a famous family of musicians from Mingting, formerly a vanguard of the Midnight Rangers in Jinzhou and now the acting Xuan Watcher of Xuanfang Hold. When she encountered the frequency of a Xuanling Bird in the Land of Xuanfang, her power was all but completed and took on the Havoc element. She wields a Sword. She switches between two sword stances called Azure and Feather to build up Melody and Azure Plume, then unloads them with huge whirlwind and feather attacks that count as Heavy Attacks. She is a Main DPS who grows stronger with the Havoc Bane stacks on her target.
Yangyang: Xuanling is a limited 5★ Resonator who arrived in the first phase of version 3.5 with the "Voices on Azure Feathers" banner, which ran from July 10 to 30, 2026. She does not drop from the standard banner, so she can only be pulled with Radiant Tide while her banner is active; a 5★ is guaranteed within 80 pulls, and your first 5★ has a 50% chance to be the featured character. She joins your roster as a separate Resonator from the 4★ Aero Yangyang; as of version 3.6, she has not had a rerun yet.
2-piece: Energy Regen + {0}
5-piece: Upon inflicting Havoc Bane, gain Xuanling's Feather, which grants a {0} increase in Crit. Rate and {1} increase in Heavy Attack DMG Bonus to the Resonator, lasting {2}s.<br>Upon inflicting Glacio Chafe, gain Chongming's Feather, which grants a {4} increase in ATK to Resonators in the team for every {3} of the Resonator's Energy Regen, up to {5}, lasting {6}s.
Xuanling's Feather, which comes from applying Havoc Bane, gives 20% Crit. Rate and 35% Heavy Attack DMG Bonus for 15 s, and the Energy Regen from the 2-piece eases the rotation. The strongest and most consistent option.
3-piece: Inflicting Havoc Bane increases the Resonator's ATK by {0} and grants {1} Resonance Liberation DMG Bonus for {2}s.
As an alternative, you can use 3-piece Thread of Severed Fate + 2-piece Havoc Eclipse. Applying Havoc Bane grants 20% ATK, and 2-piece Havoc Eclipse adds 10% Havoc DMG.
2-piece: Havoc DMG + 10%.
5-piece: Havoc DMG + 7.5% after releasing Basic Attack or Heavy Attack. This effect stacks up to 4 times, each stack lasts 15s.
The budget option. It gives Havoc DMG that stacks with Basic and Heavy Attacks and works as a stopgap until well-rolled Echoes from the new set are ready.
Thousand-Puppet Pavilion
In the main slot, it gives 12% Havoc DMG and 12% Heavy Attack DMG Bonus. Its Echo Skill summons 4 Blades of Thousand Memories, which hit for extra Havoc DMG as Havoc Bane is applied.
Use the 4-3-3-1-1 layout. The 2-piece of Song of Feathered Trace already gives 10% Energy Regen, so reaching the 115-120% target is easy; put the rest into crit stats.
Her signature weapon. Besides its 24.3% Crit. Rate main stat and 12% All-Attribute DMG Bonus, applying Havoc Bane gives 36% Heavy Attack DMG Amplification and 12% DEF ignore for 8 s.
A 24.3% Crit. Rate main stat and 12% ATK. Using an Echo Skill after an Intro or Basic Attack gives a 30% Heavy Attack DMG Bonus (stacks 2 times).
The standard banner's 5★ Sword. Thanks to its Crit. Rate main stat and Energy Regen passive, you do not need to look for Energy Regen in substats.
A stat stick offering 24.3% Crit. Rate and 12% ATK; its Basic Attack-related passive is not very useful, but its raw stats are strong enough.
A 4★ that gives 20% Basic and Heavy Attack DMG Bonus for 10 s after a Resonance Skill; it stays active easily on Yangyang: Xuanling, who switches stances often.
A 4★ given out for free in the Somnium Labyrinth event in 1.4. If you have it, it stacks up to 20% ATK as you land hits and adds 6% Crit. Rate at 10 stacks.

Totals are calculated from game data: Every ascension stage from 1→90, skills 1→10 and every skill tree node.
She has two sword stances, Azure and Feather. In both, her Basic Attack spends Melody to deal Havoc DMG over up to 4 hits, and the 4th hit applies 1 Havoc Bane to the target. As long as Melody has not run out, Energy Regen increases by 20% on Basic Attack hits; her Dodge Counter takes the place of the 2nd hit in the combo.
This is her stance-switching skill. Pressing it switches to the other stance and performs its 1st hit. If used right after a Basic Attack, it performs the Sword Stance Switch hit, which counts as Heavy Attack damage; during this move, a successful Dodge can be triggered at the cost of 50 Melody, and the Basic Attack chain does not reset.
When Melody runs out, her Resonance Skill turns into Sword Stance Flow, which switches stances and restores 100 Melody and 1 Azure Plume. At 2 Azure Plumes, she performs a Heavy Attack that becomes a giant whirlwind in the Azure stance, or a Heavy Attack that links into Feather Fall in the Feather stance. Feather Fall turns her Basic Attack into Havoc in Bloom, which counts as a Heavy Attack, through Hark the Wind for 12 s. These big hits get 160% extra Crit. DMG from Bated Breath or Streaming Storm, and up to 150% from Feathered Oath, which stacks as the team applies Havoc Bane.
Spends all Melody to deal Havoc DMG that counts as a Heavy Attack and grants 1 Azure Plume. The first Sword Stance Flow that follows summons Shadow of Xuanling, which deals extra Heavy Attack damage; thanks to her Inherent Skill, the Liberation also maximizes the Havoc Bane stacks on the targets it hits.
Deals Havoc DMG as she enters the field, grants 1 Azure Plume and applies 1 Havoc Bane to the target. It is the fastest way to reach two Azure Plumes and prepare her big Heavy Attack.
Deals Havoc DMG equal to 300% of her ATK when she leaves the field. The other team members gain Tonal Switch for 20 s, so their Havoc DMG is amplified by 20% after they apply Havoc Bane.
Each Havoc Bane stack on the target amplifies Yangyang: Xuanling's damage, by 10% per stack at 1-3 stacks (up to 30%) and by 12% per stack at 4-6 stacks (up to 36%). That is why keeping Havoc Bane stacks high is the foundation of her damage.
Her Liberation maximizes the Havoc Bane stacks on the target it hits. Windbound builds up as the team applies Havoc Bane; One with the Wind, which comes at 6 stacks, summons Feather Release: Xuanling on the next Sword Stance Flow, which slams 6 Havoc Bane stacks onto the target.
She can perform the Sword-specific Tune Break attack on a target whose Off-Tune level is full. It has no extra effect specific to Yangyang: Xuanling; it is the shared mechanic that opens an extra damage window on the staggered enemy.
She plays comfortably at S0, so aim for her signature weapon Azure Oath first. S2 is the first stop because it doubles the damage of her big Heavy Attacks, S3 raises the Havoc Bane limit on its own and reduces her reliance on Chisa, and S6 is her damage ceiling.
Sword Stance Flow additionally summons Shadow of Xuanling: Unfaltering, which deals Heavy Attack damage equal to 337.98% of her ATK and Stagnates nearby enemies; the Azure Heavy Attack and Havoc in Bloom attacks become immune to interruption.
The damage of her big Heavy Attacks (the Azure and Feather Heavy Attacks, Feather Fall and Havoc in Bloom) increases by 100%. After staying out of combat for 4 s, she gains 2 Azure Plumes and one Shadow of Xuanling attack, and the cooldowns of Bated Breath and Streaming Storm reset.
Her Liberation damage is amplified by 175%. Her Intro and Sword Stance Flow raise the Havoc Bane stack limit of nearby targets by 3 for 20 s; the 4th Basic Attack and her Heavy Attacks apply 1 extra Havoc Bane.
Using her Intro, Sword Stance Switch or Sword Stance Flow increases the whole team's ATK by 20% for 20 s.
When she takes a fatal hit, she does not fall; she restores 50% of her Max HP and becomes immune to damage and interruption for 3 s (once every 10 minutes).
After she applies Havoc Bane, her Heavy Attack damage increases by 40% for 30 s. After Sword Stance Flow, as teammates apply Negative Statuses, Shadows of Xuanling that always crit and deal damage equal to 337.98% of her ATK are summoned (up to 5 times, once every 25 s).
Chisa raises the target's Havoc Bane stack limit by 3 and feeds Yangyang: Xuanling's passives; Suisui rounds out the team with 25% All DMG Amplification, field buffs and healing.
Rebecca's Outro gives 15% All DMG and up to 35% Heavy Attack DMG Amplification; Chisa keeps Havoc Bane stacks high.

Her signature weapon Azure Oath is the best; it gives 36% Heavy Attack DMG Amplification and DEF ignore after Havoc Bane. As alternatives, you can use Emerald Sentence, the standard Emerald of Genesis and Red Spring, and on the 4★ side Lumingloss.
The strongest lineup is Yangyang: Xuanling + Chisa + Suisui. Rebecca and Chisa work well for a Heavy Attack-focused team, and Rover (Electro) and Verina for an accessible lineup.
For Ascension, she needs Solidarity's Loneflame, which drops from Myriad Snare: Rustfire Chassis, Cloudperch Seed and Autopuppet Kernels. For skills, she uses the Polarizer series, Autopuppet Kernels and the weekly material Skyward Glazed Heart, which drops from Thousand-Puppet Pavilion.
