On this page you can find the rules that apply when using Oyun Günlüğü. By visiting the site or becoming a member, you agree to these terms.

1. Parties and Definitions

These Site Terms of Use ("Terms") govern the relationship between [Oyun Günlüğü (Contact: [email protected])] ("Oyun Günlüğü", "we" or "OG"), which operates the website at oyungunlugu.com ("Site" or "OG"), and the natural or legal persons who visit or use the Site ("User" or "you").

The following definitions apply in this text:

• Site: oyungunlugu.com and all related subpages, subdomains, mobile versions and services, including the magazine, tools, gamification and Kodeks.
• Content: All news, reviews, features, guides, lists, interviews, hardware articles, magazine issues, images, videos, audio, graphics, logos, code and designs on the Site.
• Member: A User who creates an account by registering on the Site.
• User-Generated Content (UGC): Any content that Members upload to or publish through the Site (comments, player profile descriptions, etc.).
• Gamification: The Site's system of points and rewards, including XP, Tokens, quests, leaderboards and similar mechanics.
• Hosting Provider: OG's status within the meaning of Law No. 5651.

2. Acceptance and Effect

Anyone who visits, uses or becomes a member of the Site is deemed to have declared that they have read, understood and accepted these Terms. If you do not accept the Terms, please do not use the Site. These Terms also apply to visitors who are not members; some provisions concern only members, as indicated in the relevant section.

3. Scope of Services

As an independent Turkish gaming media platform, OG offers services such as news, reviews, guides, features, lists, interviews, hardware articles, a monthly digital magazine, gaming tools, the Kodeks daily trivia game and gamification. OG reserves the right to change the scope, content and features of its services, or to end them temporarily or permanently, without prior notice.

4. Membership

4.1. Registration Requirements

To become a member:

You must be at least 13 years old. In EU member states, the age limit may rise to 16 depending on local legislation. The information provided during registration must be accurate, up to date and complete. Only one account may be opened per person; using multiple accounts is prohibited. The person who creates the account is responsible for the account's security and for all actions carried out through it.

4.2. Account Security

You are responsible for the security of your password. If you detect suspicious access, unauthorized activity or any sign that your account has been compromised, you must report it immediately to [email protected].

4.3. Account Closure by the User

Members can close their account at any time through their account settings or via [email protected]. When an account is closed:

• Comments are not deleted by default; upon request, they are handled in accordance with the Privacy Notice on the Protection and Processing of Personal Data.
• Earned XP and Token balances are reset; these balances cannot be converted into cash or refunded.
• Leaderboard and quest history is anonymized.

4.4. Suspension or Termination of an Account by OG

In the following cases, OG may temporarily suspend or permanently close an account with a stated reason or, in cases of clear and serious violations, without stating a reason:

• Violation of these Terms
• Unlawful use or requests from competent authorities
• Abuse, harassment or attempted fraud directed at the Site or other Users
• Manipulation of the gamification, comment or UGC systems (automation, bots, multiple accounts)
• Infringement of third-party rights (copyright, trademark, personality rights, personal data)
• Advertising, spam, unauthorized marketing
• Behavior that clearly puts account security at risk

A User who wishes to object to a termination decision may submit a written application to [email protected] within 15 days of being notified of the decision.

5. User-Generated Content (UGC) and Comments

5.1. Comments and General UGC Rules

Users who leave comments or produce other types of content on the Site agree to comply with the following rules. The following are prohibited:

• Content contrary to the law, public order and general morality
• Insults, swearing, profanity, harassment, discrimination, hate speech
• Sexual content, nudity, content that may harm children
• Incitement to violence, terrorist propaganda
• Content that infringes third parties' copyright, trademark, personality or personal data rights
• Spam, advertising, links redirecting for profit (unless OG has given prior written permission)
• Misleading news, manipulation, automated (bot) posting
• Threats against OG employees, contributors or other Users

5.2. UGC License

Users retain their rights to the content they upload to the Site. However, the moment a User uploads UGC to the Site, they agree to grant OG a worldwide, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable, non-exclusive and perpetual right to publish, copy, reproduce, adapt, distribute and communicate the content to the public, share it on social media and use it within the scope of OG's promotional and service activities.

The User declares that their UGC does not infringe the rights of third parties, that they have obtained the necessary permissions and that they are responsible for any claims arising from their UGC.

5.3. Moderation

OG reserves the right to remove, edit, hide or delete any UGC without stating a reason. This right does not create an obligation for OG to review UGC in advance. OG acts as a "Hosting Provider" within the meaning of Law No. 5651 and has no obligation to investigate whether content is lawful; however, it undertakes to promptly assess justified notices and remove content where necessary. 6. Gamification (XP, Tokens, Quests, Leaderboards)

6.1. General Principle

The Site's gamification system is an entertainment and loyalty tool designed to increase user engagement. Earned XP, Tokens, quest badges and leaderboard points:

• Do not represent any value in Turkish lira, foreign currency or cryptocurrency.
• Cannot be converted into cash, transferred to third parties or sold.
• Are reset when the account is deleted and are not refunded.
• May be changed, reset or removed entirely at OG's sole discretion.

6.2. Prohibited Behavior

The following behaviors are considered violations of the gamification system and are grounds for account suspension or termination:

• Earning XP/Tokens with automated tools (bots, scripts).
• Accumulating points or manipulating leaderboards using multiple accounts.
• Cheating in Kodeks and similar games (sharing answers, automation).
• Taking advantage of bugs and system vulnerabilities (exploits).
• Fake engagement (such as approving your own comment with your own account).

When manipulation is detected, OG reserves the right to reset XP/Token balances, remove the User from leaderboards and close the account.

7. Intellectual Property and Copyright

7.1. Protection of OG Content

All intellectual and industrial property rights to the news, reviews, guides, images, videos, magazine, code and design on the Site belong to OG or the relevant rights holders under Law No. 5846 on Intellectual and Artistic Works (FSEK), Industrial Property Law No. 6769 and international copyright agreements.

7.2. Quotation and Reuse

Using OG content for republication without permission and without citing the source is prohibited. Even in authorized use:

• "Oyun Günlüğü" must be cited as the source.
• An active (do-follow) link to the relevant content page must be provided.
• A limited portion of the content should be quoted rather than the entire piece.

7.3. Third-Party Content

Game images, screenshots, logos and character art on the Site belong to the relevant game studios, publishers or rights holders and are published under fair use for news reporting, criticism and review purposes (FSEK Articles 34 and 35).

8. Advertising, Sponsorship and Affiliate

OG earns its revenue through advertising, sponsorship and affiliate (revenue sharing) arrangements. Within this scope:

• Sponsored content and advertising copy are clearly marked separately from editorial content with a "Sponsored", "Advertisement", "Collaboration" or similar label.
• Users who click affiliate links and make purchases on partner sites are not charged any additional cost; OG may earn a commission from these sales.
• Affiliate and advertising partnerships do not affect editorial independence; review scores and opinions are the product of OG's independent judgment.

9. Prohibited Use

The following behaviors are prohibited when using the Site:

• Attempts to damage the Site's infrastructure, servers or software (DDoS, port scanning, using exploits).
• Reverse engineering, deriving source code, circumventing protection mechanisms.
• Automated crawling (scraping) and unauthorized bulk downloading of Site content.
• Using a fake identity or impersonating someone else.
• Collecting other users' personal data through the Site without permission.
• Unauthorized advertising, spam, chain messages, phishing.

In the event of a violation, OG reserves the right to file a criminal complaint with the public prosecutor and pursue legal remedies against the person responsible.

10. Limitation of Liability

10.1. Nature of the Service

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available." OG makes no express or implied commitment that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free or virus-free.

10.2. Accuracy of Content

Although news and guides are prepared with care, OG does not guarantee the real-time accuracy of constantly changing data such as game prices, codes, release dates and system requirements. Users should check the relevant official sources before making financial or technical decisions.

10.3. Third-Party Links

Third-party links on the Site are for informational purposes only. OG is not responsible for content accessed through these links, the privacy policies of partner sites or transactions carried out on them.

10.4. Indirect Damages

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, OG cannot be held liable for loss of revenue, loss of profit, loss of data, loss of reputation or indirect/consequential damages.

11. Protection of Personal Data

OG's personal data processing activities are set out in detail in the Privacy Notice on the Protection and Processing of Personal Data and the Cookie Notice. By using the Site, you acknowledge that you have read these texts.

12. Hosting Provider Information (Law No. 5651)

OG holds the status of "Hosting Provider" within the meaning of Law No. 5651 on the Regulation of Publications on the Internet and Combating Crimes Committed Through Such Publications.

13. Changes

OG reserves the right to unilaterally amend these Terms in line with legislative changes, service updates or business processes. Significant changes are announced on the Site and, where necessary, communicated to members by email. Changes take effect from the date they are published. Continuing to use the Site after a change means that you accept the updated Terms.

14. Force Majeure

Events beyond OG's reasonable control, such as natural disasters, war, epidemics, cyberattacks, internet infrastructure or power outages and decisions of competent authorities, are considered force majeure. OG's obligations are suspended for the duration of the force majeure, and OG cannot be held responsible for interruptions during this period.

15. Assignment and Severability

OG may assign its rights and obligations under these Terms to third parties without prior notice. The User may not assign their rights or obligations without OG's written consent.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be partially or wholly invalid, this does not affect the validity of the other provisions.

16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are interpreted and applied in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. In resolving any disputes, the parties will first make good-faith efforts to reach an amicable settlement. Where no settlement can be reached, the Istanbul Central (Çağlayan) Courts and Enforcement Offices have jurisdiction.

The rights granted to Users acting as consumers under Consumer Protection Law No. 6502 are reserved; the relevant Consumer Arbitration Committees and Consumer Courts also have jurisdiction over consumer disputes.
