"Feathered Tempest" The storm knight worshipped as Fleurdelys
Cartethyia is the human side of the legendary knight worshipped in Rinascita as the "Blessed Maiden" Fleurdelys: A young girl who dreams of shedding the weight of her sacred titles and becoming a free knight-errant. She wields a Sword with the Aero element and draws her power not from ATK but from her Max HP. In her Cartethyia form she applies Aero Erosion and summons three sword shadows; with her Resonance Liberation she sacrifices half her HP to transform into Fleurdelys. In this form she detonates Aero Erosion stacks instantly, and at 120 Conviction she turns those stacks into a huge damage boost with Blade of Howling Squall. She is the main DPS of Aero Erosion teams.
Cartethyia is a limited 5★ Resonator and does not drop from the standard banner; you can only pull her with Radiant Tide while her banner is active. She first arrived in Version 2.4 with the "Dance in The Storm's Wake" banner, which opened on June 12, 2025, and got reruns in the first phase of 3.0 and in 3.4. A 5★ is guaranteed within 80 pulls; your first 5★ has a 50% chance to be the featured character, and if you lose, the next 5★ is guaranteed.

5-piece: Hitting a target with Aero Erosion increases Crit. Rate by {0} and grants {1} Aero DMG Bonus, lasting for {2}s.
Hitting a target with Aero Erosion grants 10% Crit. Rate and 30% Aero DMG for 10 s; since Cartethyia keeps targets under Aero Erosion at all times, it is by far the best set.
2-piece: Aero DMG + {0}
5-piece: Inflicting Aero Erosion upon enemies increases Aero DMG for all Resonators in the team by {0}, and for the Resonator triggering this effect by an additional {1}, lasting for {2}s.
If you lack well-rolled Windward Pilgrimage Echoes: Applying Aero Erosion raises both the team's and Cartethyia's Aero DMG.
Reminiscence: Fleurdelys
Its Echo Skill summons Windcleaver for 9 Aero hits; in the main slot it gives 10% Aero DMG, which rises to 20% when Cartethyia equips it.
If Ciaccona is on the team, use 4-4-1-1-1 (two crit 4-cost Echoes + three HP% 1-cost Echoes); otherwise use the 4-3-3-1-1 layout with two Aero DMG 3-costs. Aim for 48,000-50,000+ Max HP and 115-120% Energy Regen at Lv 90; ATK stats give her almost nothing.
Signature weapon. It gives a 72.23% HP main stat and a 12% Max HP bonus; after an Intro or Basic Attack it ignores DEF and amplifies the damage taken by targets with at least 1 Aero Erosion stack by 20%.
Camellya's signature weapon. Its Crit. Rate main stat and stacking Basic Attack DMG Bonus work well on Cartethyia, since most of her hits count as Basic Attack DMG.
Changli's signature weapon. A strong stat stick with a 48.6% Crit. DMG main stat; its passive raises Resonance Skill DMG.
Brant's signature weapon. The 8% Crit. Rate in its passive and the Basic Attack DMG Bonus after Liberation and Basic Attacks are useful, and the Energy Regen main stat makes the rotation smoother.
The standard 5★ Sword; an easy-to-get option with a Crit. Rate main stat and an Energy Regen passive.
Free option: A 3★ with a 30.38% HP main stat and Resonance Skill DMG Bonus; thanks to her HP-based damage it is a sensible stopgap weapon despite being 3★.

In her Cartethyia form she performs a four-hit Aero combo; the 4th hit applies 1 Aero Erosion stack and summons Sword of Divinity's Shadow, while her Heavy Attack, which counts as Basic Attack DMG, summons Sword of Discord's Shadow. A Mid-air Attack plunge recalls all sword shadows and grants Heart of Virtue, Mandate of Divinity and Power of Discord depending on their type.
Launches enemies into the air and slams them down for Aero DMG, applying 2 Aero Erosion stacks; this damage counts as Basic Attack DMG. It then summons Sword of Virtue's Shadow, and it can also be used in mid-air.
In Fleurdelys form she unlocks a five-hit Basic Attack, a three-stage Mid-air Attack, an Enhanced Heavy Attack that explodes along a straight line and a two-stage Resonance Skill that pulls enemies in (Sword to Answer Waves' Call → May Tempest Break the Tides). All of these attacks fill the Conviction needed for the second stage of her Liberation.
Sacrifices 50% of her HP to turn into Fleurdelys and enter a 12 s Manifest; the 5th Basic Attack, the 2nd stage of the Mid-air Attack and May Tempest Break the Tides instantly detonate Aero Erosion on the target. Depending on the recalled shadows she gains interruption resistance, 50% stronger Aero Erosion DMG or stack equalization; at 120 Conviction, Blade of Howling Squall clears the stacks, increases its damage by 20% for each one (up to 5) and restores 50% of her HP.
As Cartethyia, she deals Aero DMG on entry, applies 2 Aero Erosion stacks and summons Sword of Discord's Shadow. In Fleurdelys form she instead grants Conviction with Sword to Call for Freedom, which pierces through the target.
The Aero DMG the incoming on-field character deals to targets with a Negative Status is Amplified by 17.5% for 20 s. You benefit from this buff when swapping from Cartethyia to an Aero sub DPS.
Healing received by the other characters on the team increases by 20% and their interruption resistance improves. If Rover (Aero) is on the team, Rover gains an extra 25 Windstring when using Omega Storm.
Targets with 1-3 Aero Erosion stacks take 30% more damage from Cartethyia and Fleurdelys; each stack above 3 raises this by another 10% (up to 3 stacks, 60% in total).
When the target's Off-Tune level is full, Cartethyia can perform the Sword-specific Tune Break attack. A shared mechanic that opens an extra damage window on the staggered enemy.
She is a strong main DPS at S0; aim for her signature weapon, Defier's Thorn, first. On the Sequence side, S1's Crit. DMG stacks and S2's stack limit and multiplier increases stand out, while S4 strengthens the whole team.
Killing enemies with Aero Erosion grants Zeal, which raises the targets' stacks on the next hit to the highest count among the defeated enemies; each time Fleurdelys' Conviction reaches 30/60/90/120, she gains 25% Crit. DMG for 15 s (stacks 4 times).
The Liberation raises the Aero Erosion stack limit of nearby targets by 3, and the next hit applies 3 stacks to all of them and triggers the damage once; the Basic Attack, Heavy Attack, Dodge Counter and Intro Skill multipliers of her Cartethyia form increase by 50%, and the Mid-air Attack multiplier by 200%.
Fleurdelys' stack-detonating attacks and Enhanced Heavy Attack apply 2 Aero Erosion stacks; the Blade of Howling Squall multiplier increases by 100%.
When anyone on the team applies any Negative Status, the whole team gains 20% All-Attribute DMG Bonus for 20 s.
She is not downed by a fatal blow and instead gains a shield equal to 20% of her Max HP for 10 s (once every 10 minutes); the HP cost of the Liberation drops to 25%.
Blade of Howling Squall raises the target's Aero Erosion to the maximum stacks instead of clearing it; for 30 s, every Aero Erosion applied to fully stacked targets triggers its damage instantly, and targets take 40% more damage from Fleurdelys.
Ciaccona amplifies Aero Erosion DMG by 100% and hands out Aero bonuses to the team; Chisa's Outro raises the targets' Negative Status stack limit by 3, making Blade of Howling Squall bigger.

5-piece Windward Pilgrimage; hitting a target with Aero Erosion grants 10% Crit. Rate and 30% Aero DMG. Use Reminiscence: Fleurdelys as the main Echo; its Aero bonus doubles when Cartethyia equips it.
Her signature weapon, Defier's Thorn, is by far the best; its HP main stat and damage amplification against targets with Aero Erosion are made for her. Red Spring, Blazing Brilliance and Unflickering Valor are alternatives, and the 3★ Guardian Sword is a free option.
Cartethyia's damage scales with Max HP instead of ATK, so her 1-cost Echoes use the HP% main stat along with HP substats. Aiming for 48,000-50,000+ HP at Lv 90 brings far more damage than investing in ATK.
The strongest lineup is Cartethyia + Ciaccona + Chisa. Ciaccona and Rover (Aero) are also a great pair; for a more accessible lineup, you can use Sanhua and Rover (Aero).
To ascend her you need Unfading Glory from Lioness of Glory, Bamboo Iris that grows on the Septimont plains and Tidal Residuum.
