Wuthering Waves · 4★ Resonator
"Snow Waltz" The quiet swordswoman of Jinzhou
Sanhua is a sharp-eyed swordswoman of few words who never leaves the side of Jinhsi, the Magistrate of Jinzhou. She is a 4★ Resonator who wields a Sword with the Glacio element; she dips in and out of the field briefly, detonating the ice crystals she creates with her Heavy Attack Detonate. Her real value lies in her Outro Skill: It amplifies the next character's Basic Attack DMG by 38%, so she finds a place in teams in every era as one of the best partners for main DPS characters who rely on Basic Attacks.
You can get Sanhua for free: She is given as the day 5 reward of the permanent "Gifts of Thawing Frost" login event (the 7 login days do not need to be consecutive). As a 4★ Resonator, she can also drop from every standard and limited Convene banner; her drop rate increases when she is among the featured 4★ characters on limited banners. To complete her Sequences (Resonance Chain), however, you need to pull her again.
2-piece: Energy Regen + {0}.
5-piece: Upon using Outro Skill, increases the ATK of the next Resonator by 22.5% for 15s.
Raises the next character's ATK by 22.5% after the Outro Skill; combined with Sanhua's Basic Attack buff, it gives the main DPS double support.
2-piece: Glacio DMG + 10%.
5-piece: Glacio DMG + 10% after releasing Basic Attack or Heavy Attack. This effect stacks up to 3 times, each stack lasts 15s.
If you play Sanhua for her own damage, Freezing Frost, which gives Glacio DMG, provides more personal damage.
Its Echo Skill grants 10 Resonance Energy on hit, and if an Outro is used within 15 s, it raises the next character's damage by 12%.
Sanhua's job is to get in fast and pass on her Outro; raise Energy Regen to at least 120% so you can open the Liberation every rotation.
The standard 5★ Sword; its Crit. Rate main stat and Energy Regen passive cover Sanhua's energy needs while also raising her damage.
A 4★ Sword; its 51.8% Energy Regen main stat and the Concerto Energy refund after a Resonance Skill get her Outro ready faster.
A 4★ Sword that grants ATK after an Intro Skill; it suits Sanhua's short time on the field.
A 4★ option with ATK stacks that fill on entering battle, working well in short rotations.
Totals are calculated from game data: Every ascension stage from 1→90, skills 1→10 and every skill tree node.
Consists of a five-hit Glacio combo, a Stamina-consuming Heavy Attack and a Dodge Counter. The 5th Basic Attack grants a Clarity stack, which widens the Frostbite area in her Forte.
Swings an ice blade into the air, creating an Ice Prism on the ground and dealing Glacio DMG. This crystal is set up to be shattered with Heavy Attack Detonate, and it grants 1 Clarity.
Holding Basic Attack makes a cursor swing back and forth on the gauge; release it while the cursor is in the Frostbite area to perform Detonate, which counts as a Heavy Attack. Detonate shatters every Ice Thorn, Ice Prism and Glacier in range with Ice Burst, which counts as Resonance Skill DMG; Clarity stacks widen the area.
Deals Glacio DMG, creates a large Glacier and grants 2 Clarity stacks. Detonating it right after deals the most damage.
Swings her sword downward on entry, creating an Ice Thorn and dealing Glacio DMG; grants 1 Clarity stack.
The next character's Basic Attack DMG is Amplified by 38% for 14 s or until they leave the field. This buff is Sanhua's real value on the team.
After using her Intro Skill, Sanhua's Resonance Skill DMG increases by 20% for 8 s, which is why using the Intro before Eternal Frost matters.
After the 5th Basic Attack, Ice Burst DMG in her Forte Circuit increases by 20% for 8 s; linking the end of the combo into Detonate raises damage.
When the target's Off-Tune level is full, Sanhua can perform the Sword-specific Tune Break attack; a shared mechanic that opens an extra damage window on the staggered enemy.
Her Sequences build up naturally over time as you pull on banners. The most valuable is S6, which raises the team's ATK; S4 makes a difference in energy and Detonate damage.
The 5th Basic Attack increases Crit. Rate by 15% for 10 s.
Detonate's Stamina cost is reduced by 10; after Eternal Frost, she is more resistant to interruption for 10 s.
Damage dealt to targets below 70% HP increases by 35%.
Glacial Gaze refunds 10 Resonance Energy, and a Detonate within 5 s deals 120% more damage.
Ice Burst's Crit. DMG increases by 100%; ice constructs explode on their own even if they are not detonated.
When an Ice Prism or Glacier explodes, the whole team's ATK increases by 10% for 20 s (stacks 2 times); it makes Sanhua an even stronger support.
Camellya
Sanhua

Luuk Herssen
Sanhua
Mornye
Luuk Herssen is the main DPS and Mornye the support; Sanhua's quick rotation passes on her Basic Attack buff and enlarges the damage window.
Rover (Havoc)
Sanhua
Baizhi
Rover (Havoc) is Basic Attack heavy, so this form pairs very well with Sanhua's Outro; a fully accessible lineup.

Sanhua is free: She is given as the day 5 reward of the permanent "Gifts of Thawing Frost" login event. As a 4★, she can also drop from every Convene banner; you need to pull her again for her Sequences.
When playing her as a support, 5-piece Moonlit Clouds is the best; it raises the next character's ATK by 22.5% after the Outro. Use Impermanence Heron as the main Echo.
She has no signature weapon; the best option is the standard 5★ Emerald of Genesis. On the 4★ side, Overture, Commando of Conviction and Lunar Cutter are good alternatives.
Her Outro amplifies Basic Attack DMG by 38%, so she gets the best results with Basic Attack heavy DPS characters like Camellya, Rover (Havoc) and Encore.
Yes, especially for a 4★. Thanks to her short field time and strong Outro buff, she is one of the rare 4★ supports that can find a place even in top-tier teams; on top of that, everyone can get her for free.
To ascend her you need Sound-Keeping Tacet Core from Lampylumen Myriad, Wintry Bell and Whisperin Cores. Her skills use the Metallic Drip series, Whisperin Core and Unending Destruction, the weekly material dropped by Scar.
