🔴 Minecraft redstone recipes
From automatic doors to fully automatic farms: Every redstone component and its recipe on this page.
Redstone is the game's electrical system. The dust carries the signal, torches and buttons create it, repeaters extend and delay it, and comparators read how full a chest is and output a signal to match.
Most moving builds run on three blocks: The piston pushes blocks, the sticky piston pulls them back and the observer spots a change next to it and sends a one-tick pulse. That trio is the foundation of automatic crop farms.
On the item-moving side there are hoppers, dispensers and droppers. A hopper pulls items into a chest, a dispenser uses the item (shoots an arrow, pours water) and a dropper just drops it. Mixing up the last two is the most common beginner mistake.

Common questions
What is the difference between a dispenser and a dropper?
A dispenser uses the item: It fires arrows, empties water buckets and equips armor. A dropper throws whatever you put in it onto the ground or into the container in front of it, as it is.
How far does a redstone signal travel?
Redstone dust carries a signal fifteen blocks before it fades. To go further, place a repeater in the line; it refreshes the signal and can delay it if you want.
