Who is Brant?
Brant is the captain of the Troupe of Fools in Rinascita. Free-spirited and romantic, he slips into countless roles on stage, yet off the stage he is utterly sincere. He wields a Sword with the Fusion element. His kit is built around Energy Regen; every 1% of Energy Regen above 150% grants him extra ATK. He builds Bravo with attacks chained in mid-air through Grapples and flips, and once Bravo is full he deals big damage with Returned from Ashes while shielding the whole team. Since he offers healing, shields and an Outro buff all at once, he can be played both as a sub DPS and as a main DPS.

Echo set
Tidebreaking Courage5-piece
2-piece: Energy Regen + {0}
5-piece: Increase the Resonator's ATK by {0}. Reaching {1} Energy Regen increases all Attribute DMG by {2} for the Resonator.
The 2-piece gives Energy Regen and the 5-piece gives 15% ATK; once Energy Regen reaches 250%, all Attribute damage rises by 30%. Tailor-made for Brant, who turns ER into ATK.
Molten RiftAlternative · 5-piece
2-piece: Fusion DMG + 10%.
5-piece: Fusion DMG + 30% for 15s after releasing Resonance Skill.
If you can't reach the 250% Energy Regen threshold, Molten Rift, which grants 30% Fusion DMG for 15 s after Resonance Skill, is a more consistent option.
Moonlit CloudsAlternative · 5-piece
2-piece: Energy Regen + {0}.
5-piece: Upon using Outro Skill, increases the ATK of the next Resonator by 22.5% for 15s.
If you play Brant as a sub DPS next to Changli, the 2-piece Energy Regen and the 22.5% ATK buff after Outro contribute more to the team.

His Forte converts every 1% of Energy Regen above 150% into ATK and caps at 280% ER; aim for at least 250% for Tidebreaking Courage's 5-piece bonus too. An Energy Regen main stat on 3-cost Echoes is the easiest way to reach this target.

Brant skills
Normal Attack
Captain's Rhapsody
Performs a four-hit Fusion combo; holding the button after the 2nd or 4th hit triggers the Heavy Attack Rhapsodic Riff. In mid-air, after the 1st or 2nd stage of Mid-air Attack, he swings to the target with Grapple, flips backward on hit and moves to the next stage after each flip; flips also restore his Mid-air Dodge.
Resonance Skill
Anchors Aweigh!
Brant launches himself into the air and deals Fusion damage to all enemies in the area. In mid-air, if Bravo isn't full, this skill becomes a Plunging Attack that counts as Basic Attack damage and costs Stamina.
Forte Circuit
Ocean Odyssey
Normal Attack, Intro and Resonance Skill hits build Bravo; the team heals as Bravo reaches 25, 50, 75 and 100. Once Bravo is full, Resonance Skill turns into Returned from Ashes, which counts as Basic Attack damage and shields the whole team. Also, every 1% of Energy Regen above 150% grants Brant 12 ATK (up to 1560).
Resonance Liberation
To the Horizon
Deals Fusion damage to enemies in the area, heals the team and puts Brant in the Aflame state. In Aflame, Bravo gain from Normal Attacks and Anchors Aweigh! increases by 100%; the ATK from Energy Regen also rises to 20 points per 1% (up to 2600).
Intro Skill
Applaud for Me!
Deals Fusion damage to the target on entry and grants Interlude Applause: His next Mid-air Attack starts directly from the 2nd stage. The effect ends if Brant lands early or leaves the field.
Outro Skill
The Course is Set!
The next character's Fusion damage is amplified by 20% and Resonance Skill damage by 25% (Amplify); the effect lasts 14 s or until the character is switched out. Ideal for Resonance Skill-heavy Fusion DPS like Changli.
Inherent Skill
Voyager's Blaze
Healing from Waves of Acclaims at Bravo thresholds increases by 20%. Makes his job easier when Brant is the team's only healer.
Inherent Skill
Trial by Fire and Tide
During Mid-air Attacks his interruption resistance increases and Brant gains a 15% Fusion DMG Bonus. Since he deals most of his damage in the air, it is effectively an always-on bonus.
Tune Break
Tune Break: Sword
When the target's Off-Tune level is full, Brant can perform the Sword-specific Tune Break attack. A shared mechanic that opens an extra damage window on the staggered enemy.
Brant sequences (Resonance Chain)
S2 is seen as the first major stopping point, with 30% Crit. Rate and two extra blasts after Outro; S1 adds both damage and comfort with a damage bonus that stacks on air combos and by halting enemies during Returned from Ashes. He is fully functional at S0 too, thanks to his healing and shield.
S1
By Currents and Winds
Nearby enemies are halted during Returned from Ashes; after Intro Skill and after each flip in mid-air, Brant's damage rises by 20% for 5 s (stacks 3 times).
S2
For Smiles and Cheers
Mid-air Attack and Returned from Ashes gain 30% Crit. Rate; within 20 s after Outro, when the next character's Resonance Skill hits, Brant triggers a blast equal to 440% of his ATK (up to 2 times).
S3
Through Storms I Sail
The multiplier of Returned from Ashes increases by 42%.
S4
To Freedom I Sing
The Returned from Ashes shield is 20% stronger; when cast, it heals the whole team based on Energy Regen.
S5
All the World's an Actor's Stage
Dealing Basic Attack damage grants Brant a 15% Basic Attack DMG Bonus for 10 s.
S6
All the World's a Captain's Carnevale
Mid-air Attack multiplier increases by 30%; Returned from Ashes triggers a second blast equal to 30% of the damage it dealt.
Lupa's Outro boosts Brant's Fusion and Basic Attack damage, and Brant's Outro boosts Changli's Fusion and Resonance Skill damage; Brant takes care of healing and shields.
For those who want to play Brant as the main DPS: Lupa boosts Basic Attack and Fusion damage, and Mornye gives the whole team a 25% damage boost and healing.

Brant tips
Open the rotation with Intro Skill: Thanks to Interlude Applause, your next Mid-air Attack starts directly from the 2nd stage.
Keep the Mid-air Attack chain going with Grapple swings and flips; each flip restores your Mid-air Dodge and fills Bravo quickly.
When Bravo reaches 100, Resonance Skill turns into Returned from Ashes: It deals big damage and shields the whole team.
After Liberation, in Aflame, Bravo fills twice as fast and the ER-based ATK cap rises to 2600; Returned from Ashes ends Aflame, so use it as this window closes.
Push Energy Regen above 250%: Tidebreaking Courage's 30% damage bonus unlocks, and the Forte's ATK conversion keeps growing up to 280%.
When you leave the field with Outro, the next character's Fusion and Resonance Skill damage is boosted; Resonance Skill-heavy Fusion DPS like Changli benefit the most from this buff.
Common questions
How do you get Brant?
Brant is a limited 5★ Resonator and can only be pulled with Radiant Tide while his banner is active. He first arrived in Version 2.1 with the "Blaze Across the Deep" banner, and returned on the 2.3 anniversary rerun banner and in 2.5.
What is the best Echo set for Brant?
5-piece Tidebreaking Courage; it raises all Attribute damage by 30% once Energy Regen reaches 250%. If you can't reach that threshold, use Molten Rift; in both cases Dragon of Dirge is the best main Echo.
What is Brant's best weapon?
His signature weapon Unflickering Valor is by far the best. Alternatives are Laser Shearer, Bloodpact's Pledge, Red Spring and the standard Emerald of Genesis; on the 4★ side you can use Overture.
How much Energy Regen does Brant need?
His Forte converts every 1% of Energy Regen above 150% into ATK and caps at 280%; Tidebreaking Courage's 5-piece bonus also unlocks at 250%. That is why the target is 250-280% Energy Regen.
Which team should you build for Brant?
The strongest option is the Mono Fusion team with Changli + Brant + Lupa. Changli + Brant + Shorekeeper also works very well; if you want to play Brant as the main DPS, build the lineup around Lupa and Mornye.
What materials does Brant use?
Ascension needs Blazing Bone from Dragon of Dirge, Golden Fleece gathered in Rinascita and Tidal Residuum. Skill upgrades use the Metallic Drip series, Tidal Residuum and The Netherworld's Stare from the weekly boss Hecate.
