Golden Joystick Awards'ın 2026 aday listesi resmen açıklandı ve halk oylaması goldenjoysticks.com üzerinden başladı. "Halkın oyun ödülleri" olarak da bilinen organizasyon, 2025'te 21 milyon oyla rekor kırmıştı; bu yıl da 007 First Light ve Big Walk altışar, Resident Evil Requiem dört nominasyonla listenin ön sıralarında yer alıyor.
Future'ın Golden Joystick Awards İçerik Direktörü Daniel Dawkins, bu yılın oyun dünyası için hem heyecanlı hem de çalkantılı geçtiğini belirterek GTA 6'nın tören yapıldıktan bir hafta sonra çıkacağına dikkat çekti. Dawkins'e göre bu yılki aday listesi, Big Walk ve Dispatch gibi bağımsız yapımlarla 007 First Light ve Forza Horizon 6 gibi AAA yapımları bir araya getiren, tek bir oyunun sahneye hakim olmadığı şimdiye kadarki en öngörülemez yıllardan biri.
Yeni bir görsel kimlik
Bu yıl ödül töreni, 1983'teki ilk düzenlenişinden bu yana kullanılan ikonik joystick kupasını merkeze alan yeni bir görsel kimlikle karşınıza çıkıyor. Organizasyon, 43 yıllık geçmişinde oyun dünyasının çok değiştiğini ama ödülü hak eden yaratıcılığın ve emeğin aynı kaldığını vurguluyor.
Önemli tarihler
Oylama, 23 Ekim Cuma günü Türkiye saati ile gece yarısına kadar açık kalacak. Ultimate Game of the Year kategorisinin adayları ise 26 Ekim'de duyurulacak ve o kategoriye özel oylama aynı gün başlayıp 30 Ekim'de sona erecek. Tüm kazananlar, 11 Kasım'da Londra'da düzenlenecek ve canlı yayınlanacak törenle açıklanacak.
Jüri seçimi kategoriler de geliyor
Halk oylamasına ek olarak Gamesradar+, PC Gamer, Future Games Show, Edge, Knowledge ve Retro Gamer gibi yayınlardan gazetecilerden oluşan bir jüri de Breakthrough Award, Critics' Choice Award ve Streamers' Choice Award gibi ek kategorilerin kazananlarını belirleyecek. Bu ödüller de tören gecesi açıklanacak.

Aday olma kriterleri
Ana kategorilerde yer alabilmek için oyunların 1 Kasım 2025 ile 25 Eylül 2026 arasında çıkmış olması gerekiyor. Bu tarihten önce yayımlanan ama hâlâ aktif olarak oynanan oyunlar, Still Playing ve Best Game Expansion kategorilerinde değerlendirmeye alınıyor. Most Wanted Game kategorisi bu yıl özellikle 2027'de çıkması planlanan ya da net bir çıkış penceresi olan oyunlara odaklanıyor.
