Minecraft /seed command

Prints the number the world was generated from; the same seed regenerates the same world.

Syntax

/seed

Parts in square brackets are optional, parts in angle brackets are required. You do not type the brackets: Put your own value in their place.

Examples

/seed

Prints the world seed in chat; click it to copy.

Good to know

Works in a singleplayer world even with cheats off; on a server it needs permissions.

How do I run this command?

Press T in game to open chat (or press / directly), type the command and press Enter. While typing, Tab completes the options. This command needs no cheats in a singleplayer world, but on a server it needs permission (operator (level 2)).
