Survival: Fountain of Youth, the survival game from Odinsoft and publisher Twin Sails Interactive, now has a co-op mode. Released on Steam on November 2 as a free update, the mode lets groups of two to four players experience the first chapters of the main story together.
According to information relayed to Oyun Günlüğü by Twin Sails Interactive, the co-op mode takes players to a sprawling and dangerous 16th-century Caribbean archipelago. After assembling a crew and building a raft, players set out across islands filled with ancient ruins, hidden caves, unpredictable weather and wildlife that can turn a simple supply run into a very bad day. Building camps, hunting, farming, crafting and solving mysteries along the trail of an ill-fated expedition searching for the legendary Fountain of Youth are all part of the experience.
The co-op mode is free for all existing owners of the game on Steam. It is set to arrive on the Epic Games Store in the coming weeks, followed by PlayStation and XBOX in 2027. The game itself is available on Steam, the Epic Games Store, PlayStation and XBOX.
Co-op launches with three regions
The update opens the campaign’s first three major regions to co-op, making a substantial portion of the game’s world available to groups.
Island of Hope in the Bird Region looks like a tropical paradise with turquoise waters, dense forest and mountain paths, but its wildlife is deceptively dangerous. Here, players learn to survive, follow traces of past explorers and local peoples, and gather enough resources to build their first vessel and push deeper into the archipelago.
Copper Island in the Buffalo Region is a dry, hostile landscape where food is scarce and preparation matters. Players explore smaller islands, search shipwrecks and hidden treasures, and mine copper to craft stronger tools, all while dealing with sharks, jaguars and unforgiving terrain.
Iron Island in the Puma Region is a gloomy volcanic island filled with lava, ancient ruins and valuable iron and coal. Players explore the volcano, navigate ruined labyrinths and survive increasingly deadly wildlife.
Four players can split the work
Unlike the single-player mode, gathering and crafting happen instantly in co-op, costing energy instead of time. Players can split up to hunt, gather, build, explore or prepare supplies. Everyone manages their own energy bar, and upgrades improve efficiency. Resting still takes coordination, though, as the whole group has to sleep at the same time.
The update also reworks key systems for multiplayer. Resources are more generous across the world, while progression and skills have been rebalanced for co-op play. Resource management remains important but is designed not to slow the group down. The team’s goal is less waiting and more exploring and surviving together.
Final two regions coming in the months ahead
The game’s last two regions will be added to co-op in the coming months, one in Q4 2026 and the other in Q1 2027. The team will also continue improving and expanding the multiplayer experience based on player feedback and suggestions.
65% off on Steam
To celebrate the co-op update, Survival: Fountain of Youth is 65% off on Steam from November 2 through November 16.
