Digital Extremes has opened its fantasy action adventure Soulframe, which had been tested with a limited community for a long time, to a much wider audience. The open alpha, titled Soulframe Open Preludes, launched for PC players everywhere on November 6, 2026.
According to the announcement Oyun Günlüğü received from Digital Extremes, Soulframe Open Preludes can be downloaded and played completely free on Windows PC via the game’s official website. By signing up, players can secure their Envoy name and join a growing community ready to discover a fantasy world filled with magick, memorable stories and daring combat.
Creative Director Geoff Crookes said the Soulframe Preludes community played an essential role in getting the team to a place where it can open the game up to a wider PC audience. Crookes added that the team is now ready to refine features like mounts and combat to their optimal form, and that it remains committed to staying flexible as it works toward a wider public launch.
What awaits players in Soulframe
In Soulframe, players take up the mantle of Envoy and set out to cleanse the soul-torn land of Alca from corruption. Along the way, they can redeem corrupted Omen Beasts, rescue captured wildlife and raise an Omen Wolf as a mount companion.
Players can master the core Virtues to become experts in combat, stealth and magic, while collecting and customizing a wide variety of weapons and armor. Forging Pacts with forgotten Ancestors grants access to ancient abilities. Soulframe also lets players mix and match playstyles with friends in parties of up to four across a bustling overworld and dangerous dungeons.
Founder support and Steam page
Players who support Soulframe as a Founder can instantly unlock special in-game Pacts and equipment. The game’s Steam page is also live, and players who wishlist it will receive development updates from Digital Extremes and can follow its journey toward a wider PC launch.
