Riot Games has released the patch notes for League of Legends 26.22. The patch gives Mel a midscope update and buffs champions like Corki, Rumble, Kayle and Maokai, while Locke and Yasuo, two of the most-banned champions, are nerfed along with Thresh. The patch also brings a wide range of changes to ARAM Mayhem and Classic.
According to information Oyun Günlüğü obtained from the patch notes published by Riot Games, Teamfight Tactics is moving to its own standalone client starting November 4, which makes patch 26.22 a larger download than usual. All existing Teamfight Tactics cosmetics will remain usable in League of Legends. The first Teamfight Tactics-only Little Legends arrive on December 1, and the full separation of cosmetics, including emotes and icons, will take place on December 15. Riot will also add an option to fully opt out of Teamfight Tactics downloads in League of Legends patches in a future update.
Mel’s power shifts to the late game
Some of Mel’s early game power has been moved into scaling. Her base health drops from 640 to 590, while health per level rises from 99 to 107. Her W, Rebuttal, has been reworked. It now unleashes a nova that expands to a 400-unit radius over 0.75 seconds, destroying enemy projectiles and granting Mel and allies inside a 2-second shield and bonus move speed. Destroyed missiles are retaliated against at the end of the nova instead of being reflected.
Her Q, Radiant Volley, now refunds 0.5 to 1 second of cooldown, scaling with champion level, when it hits an enemy champion, and costs less mana. The root duration of her E, Solar Snare, now increases with distance, reaching up to 2.2 seconds at max rank. The cooldown of her R, Golden Eclipse, drops from 120/100/80 to 120/90/60 seconds.
Buffed champions
Aurelion Sol’s E, Singularity, now deals 50/80/110/140/170 total damage with a 60-80% AP ratio. Corki’s R, Missile Barrage, deals 100/190/280 damage, and its Big One deals 200/380/560. Kayle’s Q cooldown drops to 10/9.5/9/8.5/8 seconds and her R cooldown to 140/110/80 seconds. Maokai’s Q now deals 2.5-4.5% of the target’s maximum health.
Naafiri’s Q heal rises to 55/70/85/100/115, and her W bonus attack damage to 22%. Rumble’s R, The Equalizer, gets a 40% AP ratio and a 200% maximum damage AP ratio. Shen’s Q deals more damage to monsters. Smolder’s W explosion damage rises to 25/50/75/100/125. Viktor’s health growth increases to 105 per level and his R AP ratio to 60%. Zaahen’s Q cooldown drops to 8/7.5/7/6.5/6 seconds.
Nerfed champions
Locke’s Q, Ritual Nails, now deals 15/22/29/36/43 stack bonus damage, while the duration of his W, Soul Ignition, drops from 6 to 5 seconds. Thresh’s attack damage falls from 56 to 54, and his R, The Box, now deals 200/350/500 damage. Yasuo’s Q, Steel Tempest, has its total AD ratio reduced from 105% to 100%.
Doran’s Bow and Overlord’s Bloodmail adjusted
Doran’s Bow, which has become the near-universal pick for marksmen, has its attack damage reduced from 8 to 7. Overlord’s Bloodmail’s attack damage rises from 30 to 40, while the maximum total AD bonus from its Retribution passive, based on missing health, drops from 12% to 10%.
ARAM Mayhem and Classic updates
The final page of ARAM Mayhem’s Journey to Stardom event is now available, and two new augments join the mode, including one based on a classic Worlds anthem. Take ’Em Down Down Down and Weapon of Destiny, which made tanks feel fragile, have been nerfed, while survivability augments like Soul Eater and Stay Resolute are buffed. Butcher’s Bridge and Koeshin’s Crossing are also back in rotation.
In Classic’s penultimate content patch, the 2011-2018 version of Council Vote #2 winner Volibear, the 2010-2016 version of Swain and Elise join the mode. Amumu, Fiddlesticks, Janna and Rammus are nerfed, while Evelynn, Ezreal, Gangplank, Nami and Olaf are buffed. Because of a configuration error that slowed Classic Pass token progress, per-game token grants are increased by 50% for the rest of the mode’s run. The patch also brings the Prestige Classic Baron Kog’Maw skin.
