GTA 6’s download size is reportedly around 210 GB. If the figure holds, GTA 6 will be by far the biggest mainline GTA game ever released.
The reported size marks a major jump compared to previous entries in the series. The numbers show that the storage space GTA games require has grown significantly with each new release.
Download sizes have grown steadily across the series
Looking back at the series, GTA 3 came in at around 1.1 GB, GTA Vice City at around 1.5 GB and GTA San Andreas at around 4.2 GB. With GTA 4, the size climbed past 10 GB. GTA 5 took up more than 17 GB at launch, while its PS5 version is now around 87 GB.
GTA 6 would be about 2.4 times the size of GTA 5
The reported 210 GB size is roughly 2.4 times the current PS5 size of GTA 5. Compared to the original GTA 3, GTA 6 would be around 190 times larger.
