Erlik, a survivors-like drawing on Turkish and Anatolian mythology, launches in early access on Steam on November 4. The game is being developed solo by Burak under the name Ash & Antler.
According to information Oyun Günlüğü received from Ash & Antler, Erlik took part in Steam Next Fest with a free demo and received seven updates during the festival week based on player feedback. Update 0.5.36, released today, also brings fixes to Karaorman and the Kut economy that came out of player testing.
Every run is split between two gods
Each run in the game plays out between two gods: Players who draw closer to Erlik gain power and lifesteal but lose maximum health, while those who draw closer to Tengri gain shields and healing. Weapons evolve differently depending on this choice.
The early access version features two realms, Ay Işığı Bozkırı and Karaorman, filled with creatures such as Karabasan, Gulyabani, Tepegöz and Kül-Kurgan. It also includes nine playable Kams, 24 weapons and 45 evolutions. Erlik supports 20 languages, including Turkish.
A Kam unlocked in the demo carries over to early access
Erlik’s free demo is available on Steam now. Players who defeat Kül-Kurgan in the demo immediately get Öncü Kam Tunga added to their roster, and Tunga will be waiting for them on the same computer from the first day of early access.
The game will be 20% off for the first 12 days after launch. The first update, adding nine new Kams, arrives in the second half of November, while version 1.0 is due in January 2027.
