Cities: Skylines II: Buildings and unlocks

Most buildings in the game are tied to milestones, and new buildings and vehicles unlock as your population grows. The unlock all option removes that order completely and makes everything available from the first minute. It is handy if you want to design a specific city from scratch or just build freely, but if you see milestones as the game's sense of progress, it flattens the experience.

Most codes here need cheats turned on first. See the section on how to open the console.

Buildings and unlocks: Common questions

How do I unlock every building?
Tick the unlock all box on the map settings screen. Service buildings, signature buildings, zone types, vehicles and panels become available without population requirements.
Do milestones still progress?
Milestones keep being reached as your population grows, but they no longer unlock anything, because everything is already unlocked.
Can this option not be undone either?
There is no information as definite as there is for unlimited money. To avoid the risk, the safest approach is to start a separate save for trying out cheat options.
Is it available on consoles too?
Yes, the map settings screen is the same in the PlayStation and Xbox versions. Developer mode, however, is only available on PC.
