Minecraft /tag command
Marks entities; then you target that group with tag=... in a selector.
Syntax
/tag <targets> add <name>
/tag <targets> remove <name>
/tag <targets> list
Parts in square brackets are optional, parts in angle brackets are required. You do not type the brackets: Put your own value in their place.
Arguments
| Argument | What it does |
|---|---|
| <name> | A name you choose freely; it cannot contain spaces. |
Examples
/tag @s add admin
Adds the admin tag to you.
/kill @e[tag=marked]
Deletes only the entities carrying that tag.
/tag @s list
Lists the tags on you.
Good to know
- A tag sticks to the player or entity and is saved in the world.
- Do not confuse it with teams: Tags are invisible and unlimited, while a team is single and gives a color.
