World of Warcraft: Forever, Blizzard Entertainment’s new take on the original Azeroth, went live worldwide on November 4 at 3 p.m. PST (11 p.m. GMT).
According to information Oyun Günlüğü obtained from Blizzard’s official World of Warcraft website, WoW: Forever is positioned as a permanent home alongside modern World of Warcraft and WoW Classic. Set after the events of Warcraft 3 Reforged: Forsaken Kingdom and before Molten Core, the game takes players on a journey to level 60 across the original continents.
New and reimagined zones
WoW: Forever expands the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor with new and reimagined zones, featuring more than 1,000 new quests across the level 1-60 journey. New destinations include Mount Hyjal, Shen’dralas, the Riverglades and Zephras Isle.
Mount Hyjal explores the aftermath of Archimonde’s defeat, with a journey through Darkwhisper Gorge. Shen’dralas turns a long-hidden mystery between Mulgore and Desolace into a new adventure tied to the Shen’dralar, Eldre’Thalas, Dire Maul and the region’s centaur tribes. The Riverglades, a rugged frontier of rivers, grasslands and trade routes, offers more than 150 new quests across much of the mid-30s to mid-40s experience. Zephras Isle serves as a new level 1-12 starting zone that blends classic Warcraft aesthetics with Skywall-inspired architecture.
The Skyborne and new race-class combinations
The Skyborne, also known as the shen’dorei or “hidden people,” are WoW: Forever’s new playable race, starting their journey on Zephras Isle. Players can choose Horde-aligned Windshapers, who can become Shaman, or Alliance-aligned High-Order Skyborne, who can become Mages. New combinations such as Orc Mages, Troll Warlocks, Undead Paladins, Human Hunters, Gnome Priests and Dwarf Shamans are also available.
Presets, rulesets and two-part names
On first login, players choose between the Classic preset, with simpler visuals and fewer modern interface features, and the Enhanced preset, with higher visual fidelity and additional interface features. These settings can be changed later. Each new character can also use HD or SD models, a purely cosmetic choice that can be changed at a Barbershop.
Instead of a traditional realm selection, WoW: Forever uses rulesets: Normal, PvP, Roleplay and Roleplay PvP. A Hardcore ruleset, where death carries lasting consequences, will arrive at a later date. Characters also use a new two-part name structure that is unique within a region.
Camping and the Legacy System
The new Camping system turns the Cooking profession’s Basic Campfire into a shared campsite. Nearby players can add up to three profession-crafted Camp Features, one per player, and those who sit or craft at the campsite for at least a minute gain their benefits.
The Legacy System is a new account-wide horizontal progression system focused on exploration rather than power alone. Made up of Legacy Challenges, Legacy Perks and Legacy Rewards, it encourages leveling characters of different classes and professions, though every advantage can be unlocked on a single character.
Dungeons, raids and PvP
WoW: Forever features nine new five-player dungeons for levels 13 through 60. On December 9, level 60 players will be able to take on three raids: Barrow Deeps, Hyjal Summit and Onyxia’s Lair. On the PvP side, the new 15v15 Darkspear Islands battleground, set off the coast of Dustwallow Marsh, pits the Darkspear Raiders against the Theramore Expeditionary Force in a fight over strategic footholds and a central flag. A refreshed PvP progression system also gives players more reasons to take part throughout the season.
