Europa Universalis 4: Diplomacy and countries

These commands turn the diplomacy table completely in your favor. The AI agreement command makes the AI accept all your offers, from alliances to royal marriages. The annex and integrate commands add a country to your territory without a war, and the difference lies in cores: Annexing does not add cores, integrating does. The vassal command binds a country to you with a single line.

yesman

The AI accepts every diplomatic offer. Alliances, royal marriages and peace take a single click, and typing the command again returns things to normal.

PC

Annexes a country

annex BYZ

Adds the country of the tag at the end to your territory without a war, and BYZ in the example is Byzantium. According to the Paradox wiki, this command does not add cores.

It completely breaks the game's balance, so we recommend trying it on a separate save.
PC

Adds a country together with its cores

integrate BYZ

Adds the country of the tag at the end to your territory and, unlike annexing, adds cores to the provinces.

It completely breaks the game's balance, so we recommend trying it on a separate save.
PC

Makes a country your vassal

vassalize BYZ

The country of the tag at the end becomes your vassal without a war. If you add a second tag at the end, you make that country the vassal of another country.

PC

Improves one country's opinion of another

add_opinion BYZ TUR

The opinion of the first country you type toward the second one improves. In the example, Byzantium's opinion of the Ottomans goes up.

Diplomacy and countries: Common questions

What is the difference between annexing and integrating?
Both add the country to your territory. According to the Paradox wiki, the annex command does not add cores to the provinces, while the integrate command does.
How does the AI agreement command work?
When you type yesman in the console, the AI accepts every diplomatic offer you make. Type the command again and the AI goes back to its normal decisions.
Can I make a country the vassal of another country?
Yes. Type vassalize in the console, then the tag of the country that becomes the vassal, then the tag of the overlord. If you leave out the second tag, the vassal is bound to you.
Does the order of countries matter in the opinion command?
It does. The opinion of the first country you type toward the second one improves. If you want Byzantium to look on you more warmly, type BYZ first and then your own country tag.
