A new strategy game has launched on OG Play, Oyun Günlüğü’s game platform: Sancak. Starting from a small village, players build farms and workshops to grow their settlements, then conquer neighboring regions in medieval battles on the way to an empire.

According to information Oyun Günlüğü shared from Sancak’s OG Play page, the game is built as a roguelite: Every campaign ends, but its legacy remains. Conquered regions, won battles, successful defenses, buildings and settlement growth all turn into legacy at the end of a campaign, and that legacy is kept even if the campaign ends in defeat or is abandoned.

From village to castle

Every region on the map is a settlement that grows through four sizes: Village, town, city and castle. Farms produce population and gold, workshops produce gold and the medrese produces knowledge. Only the player’s own regions and their neighbors are visible, with the rest hidden under fog of war. The small map has 16 regions and 2 rival tribes, while the large map has 32 regions. AI tribes can attack from the fifth turn onward; capturing every rival capital wins the campaign, and losing your own capital ends it.

Five unit types and terrain-driven battles

Battles are fought between two settlements using units bought from the treasury: Spearmen, archers, crossbowmen, mounted knights and catapults, with each additional unit of the same type costing 5 percent more. Terrain shapes every fight: Castles sit uphill in mountains, trees catch arrows in forests, cavalry hits harder on the steppe and snow slows everyone down. Defenders can use arrow towers, wall catapults, stake barriers and burning hay bales, along with the arrow rain special power. Players with a strong advantage can call on the enemy to surrender, and very lopsided fights can be resolved instantly with quick battle.

Research tree and diplomacy

Each campaign starts with only spearmen, archers, farms, workshops and the medrese. A research tree centered on the Hearth branches into six paths that unlock crossbowmen, smithies, armories, stables and carpentry workshops. Independent settlements can also be won without a fight by sending gifts until they agree to join for gold, while taking one by force damages the trust of the others.

Headquarters, commanders and boons

Legacy is spent upgrading ten headquarters buildings, unlocking commanders and opening larger maps. Campaigns are led by one of five commanders, Wanderer, Raider, Architect, Merchant and Sage, with the Wanderer available from the start. Conquering ruin regions lets players pick one of 12 boons for the rest of the campaign.

Duel mode and OG Play integration

Version 0.5.5, released on November 1, 2026, adds an online Duel mode where two players start behind town walls with the same treasury and every unit, and the first to destroy the rival’s castle wins. Quick matches are rewarded when both players are members, while private rooms set up with a four-letter code are unrewarded. The same update connects Sancak to OG Play: Members earn XP, tokens and OG Play League points from their first 5 battles each day, plus a daily bonus for winning a campaign, and cloud saves let them continue on another device.

Free and playable on mobile

Sancak is completely free and requires no download, installation or membership. Tokens can be spent on banner patterns, war camp and roof cosmetics, none of which affect gameplay. The game supports keyboard, mouse and touch controls, and playing in landscape full screen is recommended on phones. The game’s medieval soundtrack is by RandomMind.
