Mount & Blade Warband: Character cheats

These are the combinations that work on the character screen. Adding experience points speeds up leveling, and weapon proficiency raises branches such as archery and swords without grinding them one by one. Both work while the character screen is open, not in battle or on the map.

Adds a thousand experience points

Ctrl + X (character screen)

Gives a thousand experience points with every press while the character screen is open. It speeds up leveling a lot.

The same combination gives money on the campaign map, so pay attention to which screen you are on.

Raises weapon proficiency

Ctrl + W

Increases your weapon proficiency points while the character screen is open. You quickly raise branches such as archery and swords.

Character cheats: Common questions

Where does the experience key work?

It works while the character screen is open. On the campaign map, the same combination gives money instead, so the screen you are on changes the result.

How much does weapon proficiency go up?

Your proficiency points go up with every press. Keep pressing it to raise any branch you want quickly.

Can I level up my companions too?

The experience combination applies to whoever you are viewing on the character screen. Open your companion's screen and press it, and their experience goes up.
