GTA Vice City: Police and pedestrian cheats

You can clear your wanted level with a single code or raise it on purpose. The pedestrian codes completely change the feel of the city. When you arm pedestrians or turn them on each other, Vice City becomes a whole different game.

Most codes here need cheats turned on first. See the section on how to open the console.

Police and pedestrian cheats: Common questions

How do I reset my wanted level?
One code removes every star; there is no need to work it down step by step as in GTA 5. It works even while the police are chasing you.
Can I undo the pedestrian codes?
No. The codes that arm pedestrians and turn them on each other are permanent, but if you close the game without saving and open it again, things go back to normal.
Pedestrians started attacking me. What should I do?
You cannot undo this code. You need to quit without saving and load the game again. That is why you should be careful not to save in a session where you entered these codes.
