About Geforce Now
Updated November 8, 2026GeForce Now is Nvidia’s cloud gaming service, launched publicly in 2020. Instead of selling its own game library, the service lets players stream PC games they already own from stores such as Steam, the Epic Games Store, XBOX and Ubisoft Connect, running them on Nvidia’s servers. This means even low-end laptops, Macs, phones, tablets, smart TVs and handhelds can run demanding PC games.
The service offers three membership options. The Free tier offers one-hour sessions at 1080p, Performance offers 1440p with RTX graphics and six-hour sessions, and Ultimate offers high-refresh-rate HDR streaming, RTX, Reflex and G-Sync with eight-hour sessions. The Ultimate tier runs on RTX 5080-class servers that support up to 5K HDR at 120 fps, and since spring 2026 Ultimate members can play nearly the entire ready-to-play library with RTX 5080 power.
The library keeps growing every week. The Install-to-Play feature roughly doubled the library from around 2,300 titles to more than 4,500 games, and it is exclusive to Performance and Ultimate members.
