What is a game tier list?

A game tier list is a visual ranking table that sorts a year's (or a theme's) games into S, A, B, C, D, F tiers. S means a masterpiece and F a disappointment. It is the community's favorite debate format, especially during game of the year (GOTY) season.

The pools are fed automatically from the Oyun Günlüğü game database; the lists update themselves as new games with cover art are added. Download your list as a PNG to share on Discord, X or Instagram, or copy the link and compare it with your friends' rankings. If you want to rank characters, see the character tier list makers.

The pool in this tool is made of games from the Oyun Günlüğü database, not characters. It is a practical way to put the game of the year debate on a board, keep a record of what you played or rank a whole series from start to finish.

On a year page only the games released that year go into the pool, so you do not get lost among fifty titles. Hover over a card to see the game's genre, release date and a short summary; the cover art comes from the database too, so the list refreshes itself as new games are added.

Common questions

Where do the games in the pool come from?

From Oyun Günlüğü's own game database. Games with cover art join the pool automatically, so the list grows as the database grows.

Can I rank just one year?

Yes. Open one of the year cards and the pool will only contain games released that year. There is also a separate list for Turkish-made games.
