Minecraft /clone command
Duplicates the blocks in the box you select, exactly as they are, at other coordinates.
Syntax
/clone <begin> <end> <destination>
/clone <begin> <end> <destination> [replace|masked] [normal|force|move]
/clone from <sourceDimension> ... to <targetDimension> ...
Parts in square brackets are optional, parts in angle brackets are required. You do not type the brackets: Put your own value in their place.
Arguments
| Argument | What it does |
|---|---|
| masked | Air blocks in the source are not copied, so the build at the destination is kept. |
| move | Deletes the source after copying: It moves the build. |
Examples
/clone ~-5 ~ ~-5 ~5 ~10 ~5 ~20 ~ ~
Copies your house 20 blocks to the side.
/clone 0 60 0 10 70 10 100 60 100 masked
Carries over only the solid blocks without disturbing the background.
Good to know
- Cross-dimension cloning (from ... to ...) was added in 1.19.3.
- If the source and destination boxes overlap, the command fails.
