Steam leaves regional prices for 25 countries including Turkey and Argentina

Steam has announced some currencies will be removed and replaced with special other currencies. With this decision users from various countries including Argentina and Turkey, will not be able to use their own currencies.

New period for Steam is on the way

All of a sudden Steam has made an announcement related to the regional currencies in Turkey and Argentina. With this new arrangement Steam is changing the regional currencies for 25 currencies. Though Steam removes the regional pricing, they are going to use two new pricing regions, LATAM-USD (for  Latin America) and MENA-USD (for Middle East and North Africa). I know it is a little bit confusing so let me simplify this for you.  People from 13 countries in Latin American including Belize, Honduras, Panama, Argentina, Ecuador, Paraguay are going to be required to purchase their games in USD instead of their own currencies.  Turkey, Egypt, Lebanon, Yemen, Algeria, Morocco and other 8 countries from the region will do the same when they are adding funds to their Steam accounts.

From 20 November on Turkish Lira is not going to be available for Turkish gamers

Unfortunately with this announcement many gamers will not be able to use their own currencies while buying games on Steam. However, these are not all bad new. Prices are not going to be adjusted directly from their original prices. This means if you are living in one of the 25 countries, you are not going to see the same prices for countries using USD. Steam will recommend regional prices for these 25 countries.
