Stardew Valley 1.6 Update Released for PC
Farming simulation and role-playing game Stardew Valley’s new update has been released for PC.

Developed by Eric Barone, professionally known as ConcernedApe, Stardew Valley is considered as the most successful farming simulation RPG game of all time. The new features brought by the highly anticipated new update affect various aspects of the game play.
The content include new festivals, events, activities, dialogues, NPCs, world maps, secret boxes, pets, clothing, chests, 280 new furnitures and 41 new floor styles.
Stardew Valley Has Surpassed 100k of Concurrent Players
The release of the new 1.6 version update attracted the attention of players even more than before, and the game broke its record, peaking at 146,159 players playing the game at the same time.
Eric Barone also announced in February that Stardew Valley had sold more than 30 million copies, with 19 million of them sold on PC.
New Content Featured in the Stardew Valley 1.6 Update
Here are some of the new content featured in the update:
- New festivals and events: The Desert Festival, Trout Derby and SquidFest, and a new “event” in summer
- A “mastery” system, accessed via a new area.
- Added a new farm type: Meadowlands Farm.
- Many new NPC dialogues including custom gift reactions, dynamic dialogues, custom flower dance acceptance dialogue
- Having multiple pets. Added a world map for Ginger Island
- Big Chest, which has almost double the size of a regular chest
- Dehydrator, which turns fruit into dried fruit and mushroom into dried mushrooms
- Mushroom Log, which produces mushrooms and interacts with nearby trees
- Bait Maker, which can produce fish-specific baits
- Heavy Furnace, which can process more bars at a time, and yield bonus bars
- Fish Smoker, which produces smoked fish, doubling the value of the fish
- Text Signs, which can be written on
- Anvil, which allows to re-roll trinkets
- Mini-Forge, which acts as a Dwarvish Forge
- Statue Of Blessings, which grants a random blessing each day
- Statue Of The Dwarf King, allowing to select mining buffs for the day
- Tent Kits, which allow to build a tent which can be slept in for one night.
- Treasure Totems, which spawn a ring of diggable spots
- Mystic Seeds and Mystic Syrup
- Deluxe Bait, Challenge Bait, and Deluxe Worm Bin
- 19 unique Books Of Power, which grant special perks
- Skill Books, which grant experience in a skill
- Book Of Stars, which grants experience in all skills
- Moss, a new resource type which grows on old trees
- Mixed Flower Seeds
- Sonar Bobber
- Raisins
- Sea Jelly, River Jelly, and Cave Jelly
- 7 Trinkets, which grant powers related to combat
- Red, Purple, and Green fireworks
- Stardrop Tea, which makes an excellent gift for anyone

Stardew Valley 1.6 Update for Other Platforms
The game is available on Steam and GOG, and the developer has not announced the release date for the other platforms. Although it is confirmed to come to Gamepass, console and mobile versions are said to be under active development.
According to the official announcement, the patch 1.6.2 with further improvements and bug fixes will be released soon.
